Town & Country Garden Tour

An Annual “Can’t Miss” Garden Tour!

Each year, we take pride in showcasing beautiful gardens in the Pittsburgh area to enable our tour patrons to explore more than a dozen beautiful gardens in one day. Our next tour  is scheduled for Sunday, June 24, 2012.

Join us as we showcase fifteen beautiful gardens in Shadyside and Squirrel Hill.  Owners will be on site to discuss their gardens with you.  Lunch is included if you’re on the bus.  Tour books include all directions and garden descriptions.

Choose A Self-Guided Tour Or A Bus Tour

If you choose to take the Self-Guided Tour, a guide book will be sent to you so you can plan your day in advance.  The book includes directions to and descriptions of each garden. We will suggest a itinerary to help you make the most effective use of your day.

We also offer a guided Bus Tour, with free parking at the bus pick up and drop off location, that reaches the first garden on the tour by 9 a.m.   After a lunch stop at midday, the Bus Tour continues until 5 p.m.  A knowledgeable volunteer guide supplements the information provided in the guide book and leads the tour group through each garden. Garden owners are also available to answer questions.

The midday lunch at the historic Pittsburgh Gulf Club includes a choice of  Sauteed Maryland Crab Cakes, Chicken Crepes a la Reine, or Roasted Vegetable Strudel.  A salad of mixed greens and a choice of desserts is also included.

Ticket Prices

Prices for the Self-Guided Tour reflect the standard admission rates, while the prices for the Bus Tour include the cost of transportation and lunch at the Pittsburgh Golf Club.  Our members receive a 10% discount on their personal ticket purchases.

Easy Directions and Parking

Tour Books will be printed and available to you ahead of time so you can plan your day!  We’ll include directions to each of these fabulous gardens, point out convenient parking areas, even local amenities where you can get a bite to eat or just take a caffeine break to give you the steam you need to see all these great gardens!
